Aprons

I found THIS on pinterest and I had a friend comment that she wanted one. I thought it would be fun to experiment and this is how they turned out. They were super fun to make and I plan on making more in the future. I would use a different pattern though. I didn't completely love how they turned out, but I didn't completely hate it either and thats pretty good for a first try I guess.

Aproums

I have had such a great time making costumes for Halloween this year! Remember the Disney inspired aprons I made for my friend? I decided to make one for myself for halloween. I call it my "Aproum". Its a costume and an apron! When I was finished, I wanted to make something for my Husband too. He requested an R2D2 costume. So I here is how his turned out too!

Happy Halloween!

Battery Organization

I am a little obsessed with the blog http://iheartorganizing.blogspot.com/. Once I started reading it, I started looking around my house for places that do not function well in my home. I found such a place when my son's toy needed new batteries and I pulled out this blue bucked of shame. So taking some of my new found inspiration, I looked for a good solution and this is what I came up with.

This was such a fun little project and I get so excited when I have to get a battery now!

Tinker Bell to Little Mermaid

I have had a lot of fun making costumes this year. I will post a few more things I have made this week. I made a Tinkerbell costume for my little girl, and she seemed offended that I would even put it on her. If its not pink, or sparkely, or ruffely, she does not care for it. I was really excited to make her costume this year and I wanted it to be something she liked, so I ripped the whole thing apart and turned it into a Little Mermaid costume instead. I like how it turned out, but more importantly, so does she!  I still might add some more jewels to it or something so you might be seeing it again!
